About the job
The Swedish Transport Agency is a preparedness authority whose operations are crucial for ensuring that Sweden's transport systems function in everyday life, crises, and wars. The agency is part of the transport preparedness sector, which is one of ten preparedness sectors in the structure of Sweden's civil defense. The position as an investigator within civil defense and preparedness is located at the security and preparedness office. The security and preparedness office is responsible for the management and coordination of the agency's security and preparedness work. As an investigator within civil defense and preparedness, you will work alongside experienced colleagues to develop and manage structures for civil defense and preparedness within the agency. The work is led by the agency's security manager, and most of the work takes place in the agency's offices in Örebro, Norrköping, or Borlänge. There will be travel within the country.

You will
- participate in planning and collaboration with authorities and stakeholders within the Swedish Transport Agency's mission
- conduct analyses and investigations, and translate these into preparedness planning and capability-enhancing measures
- collaborate with various actors during peacetime crises and heightened preparedness
- ensure that preparedness planning and capability enhancement occurs according to agreed plans
- plan and conduct training, exercises, and information initiatives within civil defense and preparedness
- serve as the agency's official on standby (TiB)
- participate in operational work in the agency's crisis management team as needed.
You must have
- current experience working with preparedness and total defense issues
- current experience in analysis or investigative work
- documented experience of collaboration between authorities and/or businesses as well as civil society
- very good ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish
- good ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written English
- good ability to establish and manage security-protected documents and documents subject to confidentiality
- driver's license (B).
It is meritorious if you also have
- experience in developing working methods and processes
- experience working with risk and vulnerability analyses and continuity work
- experience in crisis management and staff work
- experience working with establishing situational reports and preparing decision-making materials and materials for presentations
- knowledge of work within the framework of the EU and/or NATO
- experience serving as TiB.

More information
The employment is permanent with placement in Norrköping, Örebro, or Borlänge. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. The position is classified in a security class, and a security clearance will be conducted according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
